Geraldine Moon Swope, 88, of Hartsville, S.C., passed away Saturday.

Mrs. Swope was born in New Castle, a daughter of the late Theodore and Golda Book Moon.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a faithful church member.

Surviving are her two daughters, Susan (Laurie) Robinson of Hartsville, S.C., and Shirley Palmer of Woodbridge, Va.; her son, David Theodore (Janice) Swope of Portersville; her sister, Letetia Lyon of Slippery Rock; her nine grandchildren; and her 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John David Swope, and her daughter, Judith Yardumian.

Swope— Funeral services for Geraldine Moon Swope, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, will be at 12:30 p.m. today at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville, S.C., with the Rev.
