Pittsburgh dubs Feb. as Dick LeBeau Month
PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh City Council has honored former Steelers defensive coordinator by declaring February “Dick LeBeau Month.”
The 77-year-old coach, who resigned last month, was honored at Tuesday’s meeting. He was surrounded by friends, relatives and several former players, including Brett Keisel and James Harrison.
LeBeau was coordinator on two Super Bowl champion teams. He’s spent 56 years in the National Football League, including 14 as a defensive back for the Detroit Lions and two coaching stints with the Steelers, sandwiched around a head coaching job with the Cincinnati Bengals.
LeBeau says the honor is, “Quite honestly, it’s more than I deserve.”

Fiscal Focus Pittsburgh features tools comparing revenues and expenses over the last three years.
Controller Michael Lamb says they’ll add more information on a monthly basis.
The portal, part of the city’s official website, was developed with Redwood City, Calif.-based OpenGov.com.
