Sale of rare bourbon halted
PITTSBURGH — Pennsylvania liquor regulators say they’ve stopped the illegal sale of a bottle of rare bourbon at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Officials from the state’s Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement and university police seized the bottle of 20-year-old Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon from a Duquesne address Thursday. Officials didn’t identify the alleged seller but said charges are pending.
They described the bottle of Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve as “very rare and high end.”
