Elsie Mae Daubenspeck Pyle Williams
Elsie Mae Daubenspeck Pyle Williams, 77, of Eberhart Road, Butler, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend, passed away quietly in her sleep on Friday after losing her brief battle with leukemia.
Elsie was born on March 2, 1937, in Butler, to the late William Clyde Daubenspeck and Elsie C. Forcht Daubenspeck.
Elsie graduated from BC3 in 1976 as a registered nurse and worked on 3 Main/Maternity at Butler Memorial Hospital from 1976 to 2002.
She participated in line dancing at Tanglewood in Butler and spent the winters of her retirement at Stonebrook in Homosassa, Fla., where she enjoyed kayaking with the Manatees.
She is survived by her children, Karen Pyle Cousins Zapp of Butler, Kathy Pyle Davis (David) of Brookville, Roger Pyle (Nancy) of Clarion, Mark Williams (Dana) of Renfrew and Robin Williams Weirick of Detroit, Mich.; her seven grandchildren, Corinne Marzullo/Kaeppelle (Andre) of Alaska, Jake Marzullo of North Carolina, Ben Marzullo of Brookville, Joelle Cousins Thorhauer (Dave) of Renfrew, Jesse Cousins of Butler, Ruth Weirick Patten (Nate) of Detroit, Mich., and Tim Weirick (Heather) also of Michigan; her eight great-grandchildren, Madison Marzullo, Riley Thorhauer, Eli Thorhauer, Jonah Thorhauer, Rachel Patten, Emily Patten, Ben Weirick and Alayna Weirick; and her brother, William “Bill” Daubenspeck (Gloria), of California.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald E. Pyle, on May 5, 1963.
Williams — The friends of Elsie Mae Daubenspeck Pyle Williams, who passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
