Riverfest organizers fundraising for event

EAST BRADY — Organizers of the annual East Brady Riverfest are planning and fundraising for the 30th annual event July 19 to 21.

The first fundraiser will be a murder mystery dinner show Feb. 22 at the Arnold Beabout Community Center. The title is “Mobsters, Molls, and Marinara.”

The dinner will be at 1 p.m. and the show will be at 2 p.m. The cost is $20 per person. For information or tickets, call Toots at 724-526-5346.

On April 18, a Jimmy Buffett impersonator will be at the Arnold Beabout center, and there will be a dinner before the show. More information on the show will be available later by calling Toots at 724-526-5346.

Additionally, Daffin’s candy bars are for sale at Farmers National Bank, the Outlook Inn or from committee members.

Organizers already have booked the bands for this year. Nomad will play July 19, the Doo Wop Singers will play July 20 in the afternoon and Highway 4 will play at night. Sunday’s entertainment will be provided by the East Brady Ministerium followed by the annual auction.

The pageants will be May 17 this year at the Arnold Beabout center. Anyone interested in participating should call Cara at 724-290-0443.

Organizers also are trying to find some new activities. The organizer’s next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Allegheny Hills high rise.
