12:51 p.m. Sunday — An Allegheny County man was hurt in a two-car collision on Mercer Road near Katie's Corner restaurant. Matthew Sior, 30, of Bridgeville, suffered minor injuries when he pulled out in front of another car. The other driver, John Krantz, 63, of Hadley, Mercer County, was unable to stop his car and struck Sior's vehicle on the driver's side. Both cars had to be towed. The Harmony Volunteer Fire Company assisted police with traffic control. Police said Sior was cited for a stop sign violation.
5:16 p.m. Sunday — No one was injured in a rollover wreck on Route 308 in Center Township. The crash happened when a car carrying more than one person rolled onto its roof near Holbein Lane. A police report was not immediately available.1:56 p.m. Sunday — Minor injuries were reported when a vehicle overturned and ended in a ditch on Brent Road near Mercer Road in Liberty Township. A police report was not immediately available. The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Slippery Rock Ambulance assisted at the scene.10:50 a.m. Sunday — At least one person was injured when a car slammed into a utility pole on Freeport Road near Grenci Beer Distributor in Summit Township. A police report was not immediately available.
Sunday — Investigators reported that an elderly Emlenton area man found dead at his home Thursday died of natural causes. Police were called to 82-year-old William W. Matthews' home on Master Road in Richland Township after he was found deceased inside. The accidental death ruling followed interviews and evidence examined at the scene.1 a.m. Saturday — Thieves made off with prescription medication from a home in Washington Township, Clarion County. Police did not immediately identify the suspects.
12:33 Friday — Police are investigating a case of animal cruelty in Clinton Township, Venango County. The case involved an injured dog found on Route 308. The dog, which appeared to have been abused, was taken to a veterinarian for treatment. The investigation continues and it was not immediately known if police have any suspects.
