VALENCIA — A Valencia woman has been appointed the major gifts officer of the Western Pennsylvania Region of the American Red Cross.
Sherri Stitt began her new position with the Red Cross on Dec. 29.
Stitt recently was employed by the American Heart Association as executive director and vice president of the Greater Pittsburgh Metro area, where she was responsible for raising $4.2 million annually.
“We are very pleased to have Sherri join our development team,” said Terry Koontz, chief development officer for the American Red Cross of Western Pennsylvania. “She brings a high level of fundraising skill to our development program.”
HARRISVILLE — For the second time in four years, Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest has won the Park of the Year award from the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.The award, which Denny Quigley and his son, Gary, received during a national awards ceremony in Las Vegas, was issued in recognition of their park's exceptionally high levels of customer service; employee training, operational excellence, and community service. They also received the award in 2011.The Quigleys also were recognized at the Yogi Bear Symposium in Cincinnati in November with eight awards, the highest being Facility of the Year.
CRANBERRY TWP — Westinghouse Electric has said Arizona Public Service signed a $250 million contract with Westinghouse for its newest fuel product for the combustion engineering pressurized water reactor.The contract is an extension with Westinghouse to continue delivering fuel to three reactors that APS operates at its Palo Verde site in Wintersburg, Ariz.Westinghouse provides nuclear fuel to 145 plants globally, 55 of which are in the U.S. These plants are supported by Westinghouse's 10 global nuclear fuel manufacturing locations, including three U.S. sites.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Expect to see Barbie Keepsake Ornaments in Hallmark Gold Crown stores in July — the exclusive headline product from a new licensing agreement between Hallmark Cards and Mattel.The new deal, which includes Mattel's Hot Wheels, Monster High and Ever After High brands, also gives Hallmark the right to make ornaments and plush products with wider distribution in the United States and Canada.Hallmark's planned Barbie products include a “Celebration Barbie Bonus Pack” with 2013 and 2014 Holiday Barbie Dolls and a tiny plush Barbie doll, to be sold only in the Gold Crown stores. Other products are under development.

The Cabot S-Class 1911 uses advanced aerospace technology and the finest materials to create the most precise custom 1911 in the world.The initial offering will feature two guns that will be manufactured in pure 416 stainless steel with optional black nitride finish. One will be a government length gun and the other a commander length.
