Heart attack leads to crash
SALEM TWP, Clarion County — An Emlenton man suffered a fatal heart attack Wednesday afternoon before crashing his car on Route 208, authorities said.
Robert Glenn Blymiller, 73, was pronounced dead at the scene after the wreck about 1:45 p.m.
Blymiller was well known in Emlenton, having operated a gun repair shop on Main Street in the borough for many years.
State police said he was traveling west on Route 208 near Brick Church Road when he crossed over the eastbound lane and went off the south berm of the highway, hitting a creek embankment.
Other motorists told investigators that moments before the wreck they had seen his vehicle “all over the road.”
Friends said Blymiller had a history of heart problems and was taking medication for his condition.
He had gone to buy groceries in Knox and was headed home when he suffered the heart attack. His car crashed about five miles north of Emlenton.
