Edith Smith
Edith Smith, 83, of Saxonburg passed away Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born on Feb. 13, 1931, in Clinton Township, Butler County, she was the daughter of the late William and Roberta M. Brewer Thrower.
She enjoyed bowling, golfing and attending card club.
Surviving are her husband, Carl R. Smith, who she married on July 7, 1956; her two sons, Stephen T. (Linda) Smith of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Paul R. (Lisa) Smith of Butler; her daughter, Carla (Bill) Wagner of Butler; her twin sister, Eva Pflugh of Saxonburg; her six grandchildren, Chad, Christy, Amber, Cory, Taylor and Kayla; and her six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John W. Thrower.
Smith — The friends of Edith Smith, who passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. David Brewer officiating.
