Saturday — Thomas J. Martin Jr., 46, no known address, was arrested on charges he allegedly skipped out on a $89.40 tab that he racked up Oct. 31 at the Monroe Hotel on East Jefferson Street.Martin was arraigned on a misdemeanor count of theft of services, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $20,000 bail.Butler Twp PoliceMonday — Heidi R. Montgomery, 47, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, stemming from a traffic stop about 7:45 p.m. Dec. 15 on Route 8. In addition to DUI, she is charged with careless driving and disregarding traffic lanes.Monday — Police charged Tori N. Kuhn, 24, of Butler with DUI in connection with a traffic stop about 8:50 p.m. Dec. 21 on North Main Street hill. She also was cited for driving with an open container of alcohol, careless driving and a lighting violation.1:53 p.m. Friday — Crystal A. Darby, 49, of Butler was caught allegedly shoplifting $78 worth of merchandise from the Walmart at Butler Commons. Darby is charged with retail theft.

Wednesday — Jennifer N. Perdue, 38, who already was on house arrest for selling heroin, was arraigned on new charges after a probation check Dec. 17 turned up five stamp bags of suspected heroin at her home on Jan Drive in Center Township.The alleged drugs were found behind a picture on a shelf in the front hallway of Perdue's trailer home, according to court documents.The defendant was placed in the Butler County Prison for her probation violation stemming from her conviction last year for selling heroin in Butler in 2013.District Judge Lewis Stoughton on Wednesday arraigned Perdue on a misdemeanor drug possession charge in the latest case.

Today — Police charged Cody D. Cox, 21, of Franklin, Venango County, with driving under the influence stemming from a traffic stop just before 5 a.m. Nov. 22 on Church Road in West Liberty.Wednesday — Richard Lee Lapearle, 60, of Lyndora was charged with shoplifting 11 bananas from the Giant Eagle store at the Clearview Mall in Center Township on Dec. 8. Lapearle, who has one prior shoplifting arrest, is charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft.6:06 p.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jay A. Szymanski, 54, of Kittanning struck a deer on Route 28 just before Exit 17 in Buffalo Township. Szymanski was not hurt but his SUV had to be towed from the scene.

9:18 p.m. Sunday — A westbound car driven by Daniel C. Weidenhof III, 32, of East Brady struck a deer on Route 68, just east of Pennsy Road in Monroe Township. Moments later, an eastbound car driven by Jason R. Hawk, 38, of Strattanville struck the same deer.Wednesday — An unknown thief stole the registration and insurance cards from a 24-year-old Parker man's vehicle on Hagentown Road in Perry Township. The theft happened between Dec. 12 and Wednesday.
