WARREN, Warren County — Northwest Bancshares Inc. and LNB Bancorp Inc. announced a merger in which Northwest will acquire LNB for cash and stock valued at $183.3 million.
Northwest Bancshares of Warren County is the holding company for Northwest Savings Bank. LNB Bancorp of Lorain, Ohio, is the holding company for Lorain National Bank.
Northwest Savings has five offices in Butler County. Loraine National is mostly in suburban Cleveland and Akron, Ohio.
ZELIENOPLE — Deep Well Services, a gas and oil field service company, will expand its fleet of state-of-the-art equipment.In December, the company ordered two snubbing units and a service rig that are all designed to handle the high-pressure gas wells being drilled in the Marcellus and Utica shale natural gas areas.Once all the new equipment is delivered in the spring, the company will have added about 65 jobs. It currently has about 120 employees.
