1:04 p.m. Dec. 23 — One person was injured in a three-car crash on Sixth Avenue.Police said a car driven by Teresa M. Lewis, 49, of Sarver was attempting to turn left from Sixth Avenue onto CDC Drive when her car was struck by an oncoming vehicle driven by Maxine H. Meeder, 55, of Lyndora.The collision forced Meeder's car into a third vehicle, driven by Donna M. Stuper, 64, of Butler, who was stopped in the left turning lane of CDC Drive.Meeder was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital with a broken ankle, police said.Police said Lewis attempted her turn without proper clearance. She was cited for a turning violation.
3:22 a.m. Sunday — James P. Connors, 34, of Butler was charged with DUI following a traffic stop on Shore Street in Butler.8:50 p.m. Saturday — The AT&T store in the Clearview Mall reported an unknown suspect stole a Samsung Galaxy cell phone valued at $649. Anyone with information is to call state police at 724-284-8100.2:37 p.m. Aug. 17 — Jason S. Welsh, 36, of Pittsburgh was charged with unsworn falsification to authorities and sale or transfer of firearms after making false statements on a firearms application at the Sportsman Supply Company, 245 Freeport Road, in Summit Township.Police said Welsh claimed he was never convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding a year. He was convicted in 2011 of a DUI, which is punishable by more than one-year imprisonment.
9 p.m. Saturday — An unknown suspect fled a hit-and-run crash on Airport Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County.Police said a red Chevrolet Cavalier struck a car legally parked on the 500-block of the road.The driver of the Cavalier drove through a nearby yard and down a small embankment before fleeing the scene South on Airport Road.A grille molding belonging to the Cavalier was located at the scene. The molding had “Holy DIO Diver“ handwritten on it.Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
