A 23-year-old Butler man told police he was robbed early Monday morning as he was walking along Wagner Avenue.

The man, who police did not identify, told police he was near West North Street just past 3 a.m. when a mid-sized gold sedan stopped beside him.

The man said an unknown suspect exited the back of the four-door sedan, asked the victim a question, then began punching and kicking him.

The victim was allegedly knocked to the ground and the suspect stole $200 before fleeing in the sedan.

The suspect was described as a male between 20 and 30 years old, and about 6-feet tall with short hair and a chin beard. He was wearing a dark sweat shirt at the time of the attack.

The driver of the sedan was described as a female in her mid-20s with blonde or brown hair. There was also another man in the passenger seat of the vehicle.
