Budget vote set Wednesday

The Butler County commissioners are set to vote Wednesday on a 2015 budget.

The commissioners Monday set the agenda for the voting meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. in the first floor meeting room of the government center.

Chief county clerk Amy Wilson said in an interview there are no significant changes to the budget proposed earlier this month.

The $183.2 million budget keeps the tax rate at a total of 24.6 mills, with 3.9 mills dedicated to debt service.

The proposed 2015 budget accounts for 561 full-time workers and 76 part-timers.

Copies of the proposed budget are displayed in the government center and on the county website at co.butler.pa.us.
