State Police, Butler2:30 p.m. Friday — Matthew Robert Venturini, 39, of Leechburg was charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing socks and a necklace from Spencer’s store at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.Later that night, Butler police responded to a 9 p.m. 911 call about a disturbance at Gorillo’s Pizza on Monroe Street. Venturini was subsequently charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.2:20 a.m. Friday — Brodie Macurak, 23, of Petrolia was cited with harassment and Katelyn Cyphert, 23, of Bruin was cited for disorderly conduct following an altercation at a Reimer Road residence in Fairview Township.6 p.m. Wednesday — A man broke into a detached garage at 169 Monks Road in Clinton Township before the owner chased him off. The man was trying to sell the owner cleaning supplies before the break-in occurred. Anyone with information about the incident should call Trooper Nathan Brown at 724-284-8100.Dec. 24 — The theft of $2,000 worth of radiators, electric motors, a metal form and copper wiring from 255 Smith Road in Clearfield Township was reported. Anyone with information about the theft, which happened between Dec. 6 and 24, is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Dec. 6 — A PlayStation 3 console and remotes were stolen from 195 B Hufnagle Road in Muddy Creek Township between Oct. 24 and Dec. 6. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.
