Northwest gives $10K to Lifesteps
Northwest Savings Bank donated $10,000 to Lifesteps through the 2014 Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, an initiative of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
The EITC program enables businesses to receive tax credit when a donation is made to a qualified scholarship organization, such as Lifesteps.
Lifesteps awards scholarships to children to assist them in attending preschool.
“We know how important pre-kindergarten education is to children,” said Ben Jamieson, senior vice president of Northwest Savings Bank.
