7:30 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Jesse E. Motosicky, 25, of Saxonburg crashed into a fire hydrant after hitting a deer on Saxonburg Road just south of Grohman Road in Summit Township.Motosicky's Chevrolet Impala hit the deer, went off the road, traveled up an embankment and back onto the road, spun out, left the road again and hit the hydrant. He was charged with driving at an unsafe speed, disregarding traffic lanes, driving with a suspended license and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.Saturday — Police issued Erika L. Celestin, 32, of Butler five tickets stemming from a two-vehicle wreck earlier this month in Center Township. The crash happened about 9:05 a.m. Dec. 2 when she was backing her car out of a parking spot at the Clearview Mall. The back end of the car struck the front left door of another car that was parked.Police said Celestin fled the scene. She was cited for hit-and-run, failing to stop and give information about an accident, making a false report, driving an unregistered vehicle and a license plate violation.10 p.m. Friday — Someone shot paint balls at the window of a 64-year-old man's home on Iron Bridge Road in Winfield Township. Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.4:57 a.m. Friday — Edward J. Gulick Jr., 44, of Saxonburg lost control of his pickup truck and crashed into a tree at Route 356 and Dreher Farm Lane in Summit Township. Gulick was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.8 p.m. Thursday — Two teenagers escaped the Summit Academy reform school in Summit Township. The escapees are identified as Damon Bundridge, 18, of McKeesport, Allegheny County, and Chisum Manigo, 18, of Philadelphia. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.12:14 a.m. Thursday — A driver, who police did not identify, crashed on ice-covered Upper Harmony Road a little west of Prospect Road in Connoquenessing Township.1:32 p.m. Wednesday — Mary W. Antonetti, 53, of Zelienople was hurt when the car she was driving struck a deer on Route 528 just south of Mount Nebo Lane in Connoquenessing Township. The deer crashed through the driver's side window, leaving Antonetti with minor injuries.6:32 p.m. Nov. 27 — Darin J. Harvey, no age given, of Hermitage, Mercer County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Franklin Township.1 a.m. Dec. 3 — Melissa A. Confer, 24, of Butler lost control of her sport utility vehicle and struck an unoccupied SUV that was parked on Redwood Road at Sheakley Lane in Fairview Township. Confer fled the crash but her damaged vehicle was found the following day about one mile north of the scene.Confer faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed.

Sunday — Adam Grube, 21, of Rimersburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Cherry Run Road in Toby Township.6:51 a.m. Saturday — Icy road conditions were blamed for a crash that happened when Tiffany L. Bundy, 20, of Emlenton slid out of control and hit a guardrail on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County. The car, after hitting the guardrail, spun 180 degrees and hit it again.9:15 a.m. Thursday — An unknown thief used a 51-year-old Rimersburg man's credit card information to make several purchases at the Walmart in Luzerne County.

10:50 a.m. Saturday — A 17-year-old Slippery Rock girl, who police did not identify, was cited for numerous traffic violations after the car she was driving struck a fire hydrant, mailbox and road sign on Route 8 about one-half mile south of Route 208 in Barkeyville. The Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department assisted police at the scene.5:30 a.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Holly C. Swiatek, 34, of Parker slammed into a utility pole after fishtailing off Squaw Valley Road just east of Emlenton Clintonville Road in Scrubgrass Township.Swiatek was cited for driving too fast for conditions. The Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department assisted police at the scene.

Sunday — Police reported they are investigating a reported sexual assault at the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township, Mercer County.At least two youths at the facility told investigators that a 25-year-old Grove City woman who works there had “sexual contact” with them between June 20 and Friday.Police did not identify the suspect and provided no other information.Saturday — An unknown prowler overnight walked around a house on Tie Line Road in Pine Township, Mercer County, alarming the homeowner, who called police after finding footprints in the snow.Friday — Someone stole 10 welfare checks from a car at a home in the 5600 block of Sandy Lake Pole Road in Sandy Lake Township. The checks for the Women, Infants, and Children low-income nutritional and supplemental food program, were taken between 4 and 10 p.m.
