2015 budget freezes tax rate in Cranberry
CRANBERRY TWP — The township supervisors Thursday night passed a $24.3 million township budget for 2015 that holds the line on taxes.
The property tax rate will remain at 13 mills, a level that hasn’t changed for three years.
Eight of those mills will go to the general fund while 2.12 mills will be allocated to the fire company, 1 mill to the library, 1 mill to township buildings and .85 mills for road equipment.
The budget includes hiring two new full-time police officers and increases funding for the police, public works and parks and recreation departments.
