JOBLESS RATE
Four of nine regional counties have posted unemployment rates below 5 percent in October. Three of them — Butler, Westmoreland and Venango — moved under 5 percent in October, while Allegheny County was below that mark in September and further dropped in October. The other five counties in the region, while above 5 percent, all showed improved rates in October.
