BUTLER TWP — XTO Energy has donated $100,000 to Butler County Community College.

Nick Neupauer, BC3 president, said at the BC3 trustee meeting the donation will fund credit and noncredit energy curriculum classes, including equipment and personnel.

The college also added several energy industry-related courses this fall, preparing students to do work in the county’s thriving natural gas industry.

Amy Dobkin, with XTO Energy, presented the large check to BC3 at the meeting.

“It’s a pleasure for us to make this contribution,” she said.

This is XTO’s second donation to BC3. It gave $100,000 once before.
