2:23 a.m. Sunday — A Butler County man and an Allegheny County teenager were caught with nine stamp bags of suspected heroin in a vehicle parked in an alley just west of St. Mary Street.Police also found a syringe, crack pipe and other drug contraband allegedly belonging to the man.The suspects — Robert C.J. Best, 28, of Lyndora and Shaylon E. Hooten, 19, of North Versailles — are both charged with possession of a controlled substance. Best also is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

4:30 p.m. Nov. 23 — William C.P. Parsons, 28, of Butler was caught with suspected drugs after he was stopped for allegedly shoplifting more than $300 in merchandise from the Walmart at Butler Commons. Police said Parsons is charged with retail theft and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Additionally, police said they charged Nikki Ann Mathews, 23, of Butler with retail theft for participating with Parsons in the alleged shoplifting.

Tuesday — An unknown burglar made off with several power tools after breaking into a storage shed behind a home in the 400 block of Liberty Street. Stolen was a Craftsman electric drill, Sawzall reciprocating saw, circular saw and 2.5 gallon tubular air compressor along with a Black & Decker 4½-inch hand grinder.The break-in and theft happened between 4:30 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.9:46 p.m. Monday — Brandon Lambert, 18, of Grove City was arrested after police found him in a park area after hours. Officers discovered a small amount of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in his vehicle. Police said he faces misdemeanor drug possession charges.3:30 p.m. Monday — Police found a black bicycle in the 100 block of North Street. The owner can claim the bike at the police station at 337 E. Pine St.Sunday — Raymond Billett III, 33, of Grove City was charged with two counts of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia after he was discovered with suspected marijuana and other contraband in the 400 block of Woodland Avenue.Saturday — A purple, 24-speed Palomar GT bicycle was stolen from a home on Spring Street. The bike, valued at $50, was taken between Nov. 25 and Saturday.Friday — An unknown thief overnight broke into a 27-year-old man's vehicle at his home in the 100 block of Edgewood Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

9:30 p.m. Monday — A 15-year-old girl was reported as a runaway after she walked away from her home on Pleasant Ridge Drive in Center Township and did not immediately return. Police did not identify the girl, who is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds.The girl has blonde straight hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black yoga pants, a gray zip-up hooded sweat shirt and brown UGG boots. Anyone with information about the girl's whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.10:32 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Alma Wisniewski, 58, of Pittsburgh struck a deer on Interstate 79 just south of West Park Road in Worth Township.10:28 p.m. Friday — Ronald A. Dodd Jr., 35, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a crash in the 500 block of Buena Vista Road in Fairview Township.Nov. 25 — An unknown vandal slashed a tire of a car on display in the Clearview Mall in Center Township. Ellis Suzuki owns the car that was vandalized between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.Nov. 22 — A Schwinn bicycle was stolen from the side of a garage in the 200 block of Main Street in Connoquenessing. The bike was taken between Nov. 9 and 22.3:51 p.m. Nov. 15 — David Arnold, 35, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 68 just east of Whitestown Road in Butler Township. Police said Arnold later was placed in the Butler County Prison on an unrelated warrant.

2:14 p.m. Tuesday — Adrienne B. King, 22, of Harrisville was hurt when she lost control of her tractor truck and crashed and rolled over an embankment on Route 861 in Porter Township. The International Harvester truck landed on its driver's side and struck a tree.King, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Clarion Hospital with moderate injuries.State Police, Kittanning4:04 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Alijah A. Householder, 22, of Kittanning an a pickup truck driven by Jeffrey R. Taladay, 60, of Cadogan collided on Westgate Drive at the Hilltop Plaza in East Franklin Township.7:01 a.m. Tuesday — A man, who police did not identify, crashed his car after suffering an apparent seizure on Route 268 in East Franklin Township. The car ended in brush off the road but was not damaged.The man was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin “as a precautionary measure,” according to a police report.The report noted the man's wife told police he suffers from seizures and had not taken his seizure medication that morning.Tuesday — An unknown thief stole a 56-year-old Templeton man's tree stand on State Game Lands near Stewartson Road in Pine Township, Armstrong County. The property was stolen between noon Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.3:51 p.m. Monday — James E. Woodside, 28, of Ford City was caught allegedly shoplifting merchandise from the Walmart at Hilltop Plaza in East Franklin Township. Police said Woodside is charged with retail theft.
