Ellis is new GOP caucus administrator
HARRISBURG — One Butler County state legislator has taken over from another Butler County lawmaker as House Republican caucus administrator.
Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, is the new GOP administrator for the 2015-16 legislative term that starts in January.
The outgoing administrator is Dick Stevenson, R-8th, who did not seek another term in office.
As caucus administrator, Ellis will be responsible for managing business affairs that specifically relate to the caucus. This includes assigning office space for the 22 new House Republican representatives that will join the caucus in January.
Ellis was first elected to serve the 11th House District in 2004, and will be sworn into his sixth term in the Legislature on Jan. 6.
This is his first party leadership post since serving in the Legislature.
