Adding another coat
Dan Shannon, district manager for Sherman-Williams, paints Tuesday at the Safe Harbor emergency shelter on New Castle Street. Workers from Sherwin-Williams spent most of the day volunteering to paint apartments at the shelter as well as common areas that the shelter shares with the Catholic Charities offices. Cindy Cipoletti, executive director of the Lighthouse Foundation, which owns the shelter, said that Sherwin-Williams called her and asked if there was anything they could paint. She said several of the apartments at the shelter needed to be painted. About 20 to 25 Sherwin-Williams workers painted. The company donated the paint and the workers’ time. Workers also planned to paint today.
