GCMC executive signs rose for parade
GROVE CITY — Robert Jackson Jr., chief executive officer for Grove City Medical Center, recently signed a rose phial with a message for a rose that will appear on the Donate Life Float in the 2015 Rose Parade.
The Tournament of Roses Parade will be Jan. 1 in Pasadena, Calif.
The Donate Life Float is sponsored by CORE, the Center for Organ Recovery & Education, the not-for-profit organ procurement organization that covers Western Pennsylvania, including the medical center.
Each dedicated rose is placed in a phial that carries a personal message of hope and remembrance to honor organ donors, recipients and those touched by organ, tissue and cornea donation. These roses create a dedication garden that is a design element on the Donate Life float each year.
The theme of the Donate Life float is “the Never-Ending Story.”
