Tenants to renew leases
CRANBERRY TWP — Two longtime tenants in the Cranberry Township Municipal Building want to renew their leases for two years.
The offices of state Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, R-12th, and the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber of Commerce both want to renew leases until the end of 2016.
Both have been in the municipal center for at least two decades, according to township manager Jerry Andree.
The new leases come with new rates, he said, going up to $18 a square foot from $17 a square foot.
That means Metcalfe’s office, which is 582 square feet, will cost $10,476 annually while the chamber’s office at 715 square feet will cost $12,870.
Township officials are happy to welcome both back for another two years.
Andree said, “I think it shows the municipal center is the place to be, and we appreciate having both the chamber and the state representative’s office keep their presence in the building.”
The township supervisors are expected to approve the leases next week.
