She said the cost will be $3, which includes all supplies. It is open to adults and children, but those age 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is required by Thursday.

She said fabric and ribbon will be available, but participants can bring their own fabric.

Stickney said the fabric will be stretched be adhered to a piece of corkboard, and the ribbon will be attached in such a way that it can hold photographs. Decorative beads or pins also can be added to personalize the board to suit a specific decor.

Stickney said she tries to hold one “make and take” event per month.

“It gets people in here and shows them that we’re a family friendly place where events are held,” she said.

She said past make-and-take projects have been pumpkin painting for children, Thanksgiving crafts, and a fabric yo-yo, which is a pleated fabric used for decoration.
