2:11 a.m. Thursday — While on a call at West Brady and Broad streets, police found Beth A. Neff, 38, of Summit Township with suspected crack cocaine and a crack pipe. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
12:38 a.m. Monday — Sarah Boudoin, 26, of Butler lost control of her vehicle and crashed on Whitestown Road. She was cited for careless driving.6:27 p.m. Friday — A car struck and damaged a fence in the 700 block of Mercer Road. The unidentified driver of the gold car, possibly a Hyundai Elantra sedan, did not stop after the accident. Anyone with information is to call 724-285-9600.11:49 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Elizabeth A. Klar, 22, of Clinton, Allegheny County, and a concrete pumping truck collided on Route 8 north of the Greater Butler Mart. Police cited Klar for making an illegal U-turn. The truck driver was Dave Manculich, 44, of Chicora.1:08 a.m. Sept. 24 — Robert Wilcox, 41, of Greenville, Mercer County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on New Castle Road. In addition to DUI, Wilcox faces charges of driving with a suspended license and driving on the wrong side of the road.12:02 a.m. Sept. 22 — Scott Armstrong, 51, of Butler was arrested for suspected drugged driving after police were called for a vehicle stopped in the middle of New Castle Road near Speed of Sound. Police suspected Armstrong had been huffing canned air.
2:15 p.m. Monday — Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck in West Sunbury. The crash happened when John Weiland, 88, of Chicora pulled from a driveway onto Route 308. Sierra E. Anderson, 31, of Butler swerved her minivan but was unable to avoid hitting the car.The collision forced the car into a tree. Weiland and Jaime Rivera, 21, of Butler, a passenger in the van, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. All occupants in both vehicles were wearing seat belts.The West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department Butler Ambulance Service assisted.2 p.m. Monday — Kristi K. Kiefer, 38, of Butler was arrested on a shoplifting charge after she was caught allegedly switching price tags on several clothing items at the Boscov's store in the Clearview Mall in Center Township. Kiefer, who has two prior convictions for shoplifting, was placed in the Butler County Prison on a felony count of retail theft.Monday — Money, jewelry and a gun were among the items stolen in a burglary at a home on Star Grill Road in Winfield Township. The break-in happened between 1:30 and 3:10 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
11:52 p.m. Sunday — A 32-year-old Gibsonia woman, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 268 near Route 422 in East Franklin Township.9:12 a.m. Sunday — Christine A. Mecca, 52, of Ford City was hurt when she momentarily took her eyes off the road and crashed her car into a guardrail on Route 66 in Manor Township. Mecca, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries. Police cited her for disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and a seat belt violation.4:10 p.m. Saturday — A fumbled spit cup was blamed for a two-vehicle wreck in North Buffalo Township. The crash happened when a 17-year-old Freeport boy dropped the cup and when he went to pick it up, lost control of his car on Route 128 just east of Quarry Road.The car slammed into the back of a pickup truck that was slowing down. The other driver, Eric W. Robinson, 65, of Kittanning, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township with minor injuries.The boy, who police did not identify, was cited for careless driving.
