Patricia J. O'Day
Patricia J. O'Day, 73, of Butler passed away early Sunday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice surrounded by her family.
Born on Aug. 27, 1941, in Salem Township, she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. Morgan and Edith L. Gess Morgan.
Patricia graduated from Greensburg Salem High School, and she worked as a ferrite press operator for Magnetics in East Butler for 25 years, retiring in 2003.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Alyssa and Zachary, enjoyed making a comfortable home for her family, watching Steeler games, talking on the phone for hours, doing cryptoquotes and crossword puzzles and reading. She also loved her country music, especially Waylon Jennings.
Surviving are her son, Scott O'Day, and his wife Donna O'Day of Butler; her granddaughter, Alyssa O'Day of Butler; her grandson, Zachary O'Day of Butler; her two sisters, Dorothy Cullison of Clinton and Louise (Richard) Cooley of Delmont; her sister-in-law, Mary Jane Morgan of Export; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph A. Morgan, and her brother-in-law, Earl Cullison.
O'Day— The family and friends of Patricia J. O'Day, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, are invited to gather from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Merry Meloy officiating.
