Trustees approve budget of $163 million for 2014-15
SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University trustees on Friday approved SRU’s 2014-15 budget of $163 million.
The budget now goes to the state board of governors for final approval.
SRU had expected to have a $10 million budget deficit at this time. However, SRU President Cheryl Norton said earlier this month that the deficit had been eliminated.
The 2013-14 budget was $114.5 million, but that number does not include figures used in the 2014-15 budget. For 2013-14, SRU was expected to have a $5.2 million deficit, but the university finished the fiscal year $262,135 in the black.
