GIBSONIA — Seventeen contestants competed in this year's Mr. and Ms. Quality Life Pageant at The Chadwick in Wexford.

Wilma Ann Selemon, who was born in 1921, was crowned Ms. Quality Life. She was Ms. Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Benjamin Edwards, who was born in 1936, won the title of Mr. Quality Life. He was Mr. Fair Winds Manor.

This was the fifth year for the event which welcomes resident contestants from nine area long-term care communities owned by Quality Life Services.

The competitors showcased a variety of talents including poetry, musical performances and comedy. The pageant also featured personality and formal wear rounds.

Don't Stop Dreamin' presented the pageant. It is a Butler-based nonprofit organization that aims to fulfill dreams for residents living in Quality Life Services' long-term care communities.

Christianne Hilliard of Butler is the new president of GFWC Junior Women's Club of Butler.Her executive board first vice president is Rebecca Lozzi, second vice president is Chelynne Curci, corresponding secretary is Mandy Claypoole, recording secretary is Michele Anthony, treasurer is Nicole Robinson and assistant treasurer is Andrea Dunmyre.Hilliard has been a Jr. Club member for six years and has served the club as recording secretary and first and second vice president. Among her other leadership roles, she was co-chairman of the annual fundraiser, Twilight Magic, for several years.Hilliard was Junior Woman of the Year in 2011. She served GFWC Pennsylvania as finance chairman for two years.She is a graduate of Butler High School and attends Butler County Community College.
