Joanne M. Iman Miller
Joanne M. Iman Miller, 84, of Butler passed away at 8:10 p.m. Sunday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
She was born on March 16, 1930, in Butler to the late Leyland Iman and Florence Dietz Iman.
Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Butler High School.
She worked at Sears, Butler Township, Stills department store, and PennDOT.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and she enjoyed gardening, playing cards and sewing.
Mrs. Miller is survived by a son, David L. Miller and his wife, Kathy, of Butler; a daughter, Jackie Young and her husband, Norman, of Butler; three grandchildren, Jason Miller and his companion, Jess Graham, Deanna Miller and Adam Took; a great-grandchild, Jason James Miller; two brothers, Arthur “Bucky” Iman of Butler and Leyland “Skip” Iman of Evans City, and 14 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. “Doc” Miller, who she married on Nov. 14, 1952, and who passed away on July 24, 2010; a brother, Robert Iman, and a sister, Ellen Rutledge.
Miller — A memorial service for Joanne M. Iman Miller, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
