Bernie and Janet Barger

Janet and Bernie Barger of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner in Butler.

Barger married the former Janet Armstrong on Sept. 4, 1954, at Oak Grove United Presbyterian Church in Princeton, Pa.

They have three children, Lorrie Sherron of Hockessin, Del., Tim Barger of Washington, Pa., and Jill McVaugh of Mars.

They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Barger is retired and worked at Armco. He is a veteran and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Mrs. Barger is retired and worked as a nurse.
