CRANBERRY TWP — There will be lane closures at night next week along Route 19 as the Department of Transportation works on the Route 19/Route 228 intersection project.

A release sent by PennDOT officials warned drivers that the first closure will take place on southbound Route 19 between Freedom Road and St. Francis Way on Tuesday.

The next lane closure will take place Wednesday night on northbound Route 19 between St. Francis Way and Freedom Road.

The detours will be in place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. to replace a pipe across Route 19.

Drivers will be forced to use detours on Route 228, Dutilh Road and St. Francis Way.

The project is part of a $3.6 million intersection improvement that is expected to be finished in November.
