David B. Shields
David B. Shields, 42, of Worthington passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday of a heart attack on the family farm.
He was born on July 9, 1972, in Kittanning, the son of Carl Shields of Worthington and the late Judith Margaret (Tarr) Shields.
David was a truck driver, and he worked on Shields Dairy Farm, the family farm.
He was a Presbyterian.
David enjoyed hunting, woodworking and most of all spending time with his daughter and family.
In addition to his father, David is survived by his stepmother, Donna of Worthington; his daughter, Evelyn Judith Shields of Worthington; his lifemate and best friend, Joanne Toy of Worthington; his stepson, Aaron M. Shaner of Kittanning; his stepdaughter, Samantha R. Shaner of Kittanning; his two grandchildren, Robby Croyle and Carter Croyle; his brothers, Douglas (Lara) Shields and Daniel (Chris) Shields, all of Worthington; and his several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.

Shields, who passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday in the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, with the Pastor Robert Hindman officiating.
