SV buys land inside campus

JACKSON TWP — The Seneca Valley School Board Monday night bought property within the secondary campus for $100,000.

Linda Andreassi, director of communications for the district, said the land has a house previously owned by Harold and Awynn Moyer at 114 Seneca School Rd.

While the property is just inside the boundary of the secondary campus, Andreassi said school officials have no plans for using it. However, she said it made sense for the district to buy the land, which has been for sale off and on for several years.

“The district hasn’t decided what to do with the property,” she said. “But it makes sense for us to buy the property because it sits within the boundaries of our property.”

The two-story, three bedroom house and a detached garage are on less than acre between Seneca School Road, the school’s secondary campus and the Connoquenessing Creek.
