FREEPORT — Several residents on Tuesday were willing to free fall 32 feet in the name of their favorite charity.
Dare Me For Charity, a reality television show being filmed across the country that gives teams a chance to raise money for charities by jumping, made its Pittsburgh regional stop at Freeport Community Park.
Teams jumped for several organizations, including the Restore Freeport Community Park group, as well as a number of health-research based organizations. The jump was from a platform with an inflatable area at the bottom.
Prizes are awarded based on how many feet each team jumps. The top three teams in the country with the highest number of feet jumped will receive $25,000, $15,000, and $10,000, respectively.
