4:59 p.m. Friday — A 16 -year-old Butler boy had minor injuries after he crashed his bicycle into a car at the intersection of West Wayne Street and South Main Street.Police say a car driven by a 17-year-old boy was turning onto South Main Street from West Wayne Street when the bike hit his car.The 16-year-old was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.4:41 p.m. Friday — John McGouldrick, 22, of Butler crashed his bicycle into a car driven by Marilyn C. Suchy, 54, of Mercer when Suchy was slowing down for a stop sign at the intersection of Mill Street and West Wayne Street.McGouldrick was turning onto Mill Street when he collided with the vehicle.There were no injuries.
7:16 p.m. Thursday — Jennifer L. Cumberland, 23, of Butler was charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing 39 items from Walmart at Butler Commons.The value of the items is $170.
7:55 a.m. Friday — A two-car crash occurred at the intersection of Harmony Road and Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Jacob A. Feskanin, 24, of Stow, Ohio, didn't stop at a stop sign on Harmony Road and struck a car driven by Melissa R. Kay, 25, of Harrisville, who was traveling west on Route 8.Both drivers suffered moderate injuries and were taken to the Grove City Medical Center by Slippery Rock Ambulance.Feskanin was cited for a stop sign violation.3:04 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Terry L. Osborne 53, of Cabot crashed into a utility pole as Osborne fell asleep while driving along Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. Osborne was cited for careless driving.2:07 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Leon E. Duda, 86, of Slippery Rock hit a parked tractor-trailer driven by Kenneth E. Haag, 59, of Slippery Rock on Harmony Road in Mercer Township.Duda's car struck the rear driver's side, causing damage to both vehicles.Haag was cited for a traffic violation for parking on the road.Monday — Someone stole $2,500 worth of copper wire from the Power Contracting Co. on New Castle Road in Portersville. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 724-284-8100.
Tuesday — Someone pried open the front door of a home on Dydek Lane in Springfield Township and ransacked several rooms. Crystal Hutchins, 39, lives there.Police believe the vandal was scared away by Hutchins' two large dogs.
