9:37 p.m. Monday — William R. Gregg III, 58, of Butler was caught with suspected drugs and contraband at Dollar General on North Main Street. Police were called to the store for a report of an intoxicated man there.Officers said Gregg, who appeared under the influence, was arrested. He was searched and found with two suspected marijuana pipes and two containers with pills in them, according to a police report.Police said they believe eight of the pills were diazepam, better known as the sedative Valium, for which the suspect did not have a prescription.Gregg faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness.

Monday — Police charged Tricia Ann Wissinger, 29, of Butler with driving under the influence stemming from a 1:56 a.m. May 30 traffic stop on Hansen Avenue. In addition to DUI, she is charged with failing to keep right.4:50 a.m. Sunday — Bryan S. Pangburn, 31, of Butler was arrested on charges he threatened to slit the throat of a physician at the Butler Memorial Hospital emergency room.Police said Pangburn threatened the doctor and emergency room staff because he was angry with them over the treatment his girlfriend was receiving there.The defendant had accompanied his girlfriend to the hospital after she complained of head pain, police said.Pangburn was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.1:30 a.m. Sunday — Robert Kessler Jr., 44, of Butler allegedly punched and kicked his girlfriend during an altercation in the parking lot of Cav's Place on Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora.Several hours after the suspected attack, police said, the 33-year-old woman was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for a broken jaw and bruises.Kessler is charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.10:39 a.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Dyanna Boosel, 34, of Butler rear-ended a car stopped in traffic on Route 8 in the area of the Route 422 west merge point. Ahmet Aslanturk, 38, of Portersville was the other driver. The collision, in turn, forced Aslanturk's car into the back of a minivan driven by Olivia Nicklas, 32, of Butler.Friday — An unknown driver in a gray Subaru struck another car in the parking lot of Next Generation Pediatric on Technology Drive, and did not stop. The hit-and-run accident happened between 10:45 and 11:30 a.m.The victim's vehicle sustained “substantial passenger's side damage,” according a police report. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

Friday — A burglar broke into a 37-year-old old woman's house in Concord Township and stole a Quad Core tablet device. The unknown suspect, who possibly had a key to the home on Seven Hills Road, also turned off the refrigerator, which caused the contents to spoil.The break-in happened between 9:30 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.

3:54 p.m. Monday — Garrett M. Sigler, 21, of Worthington and a Ford City couple were injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Manor Township.The crash happened when Garrett turned his car at Route 66 and Huston Road and struck a sport utility vehicle that 75-year-old Robert L. Kuhns was driving.Both drivers and Kuhns' passenger, 73-year-old Carol E. Kuhns, all were treated at ACMH Hospital near Kittanning for minor to moderate injuries. They all were wearing seat belts.Police said Sigler was cited for a lane violation.8:15 a.m. Saturday — An 18-year-old Kittanning woman, who police did not identify, lost control of her car and crashed into a guardrail on Garretts Run Road just west of Hawk Hollow Road in Manor Township. Police said the woman was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.9:15 p.m. Friday — A 17-year-old Manorville boy was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township just north of the Armstrong-Butler County line.2:11 a.m. Friday — Levi C. King, 21, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a suspected hit-and-run crash on Route 422 in Manor Township. Police said King fled the crash but was later found.
