7:30 p.m. May 31 — Cars driven by Jean R. Baxter, 84, and James E. Summerville, 65, both of Butler collided on West New Castle Street at the parking lot of Diane's Auto Shop.

Butler Twp PoliceMonday — A 17-year-old student is accused of punching another student in the head during a fight at the Butler Vocational-Technical School on Campus Lane. The victim was not injured.The suspect, who police did not identify, was cited for harassment.

Monday — Zachory M. Williamson, 20, of Parker, Armstrong County, was charged with drugged driving after a traffic stop about 8 p.m. May 10 in Slippery Rock Township. Police said that after stopping Williamson's pickup truck at Route 8 and Ralston Road, they noticed a small roll of aluminum foil, which is commonly used to smoke illegal drugs.Later, troopers searched the defendant and found drugs and contraband, including a baggie of psychedelic mushrooms and a container of crystal methamphetamine, court documents said.Toxicology results of a blood test given to Williamson later showed the presence of amphetamine, methamphetamine and oxycodone, police said.He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Additionally, police cited him for driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, driving with an illegal license plate, driving with invalid inspection, not carrying his vehicle registration, not wearing a seat belt and careless driving.Monday — Four 18-inch tires were stolen from the front yard of a home on Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township. The low-profile tires were taken between midnight and 7 a.m.Friday — Police charged Brandon L. Russell, 21, of Butler Township with drugged driving after he was found about 11:25 a.m. March 30 apparently passed out in a car at a convenience store parking lot on Route 422 at North Road in Franklin Township. Police said Russell appeared to be impaired by drugs. Troopers also noticed a used syringe behind the front passenger seat.He admitted he had dropped off two friends “and they used the syringe to shoot heroin while he drove,” according to court documents.A police drug recognition expert later examined the defendant and determined he was under the influence of an unknown narcotic. Russell was taken for a blood test, which showed the presence of a heroin metabolite, documents said.A search of Russell's car subsequently turned up five stamp bags of heroin between the driver's seat and center console, an empty bag of heroin behind the driver's seat and a used syringe under the rear passenger seat. Russell is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and careless driving.

Monday — An unknown thief stole a Yamaha Big Bear all-terrain vehicle that was parked in front of the owner's home on Peach Hill Road in Washington Township, Armstrong County. The ATV was taken between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
