10:22 a.m. Friday — Justin E. Freyermouth, 24, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police searched his room in an East Brady Street halfway house.Police responded to a complaint from a counselor at the home stating that he found the paraphernalia in Freyermouth's room.Police found syringes, empty stamp bags, a spoon with burnt residue, and a smoking pipe.
3:29 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Joan Plunkett, 29, of Meadville struck the back of a car driven by David Miller, 59, of Butler along Route 8 near Ann Arbor Lane.Miller was in the process of turning into the center lane at the time of the accident.Both cars were towed.Plunkett was cited for driving too fast for conditions.10:14 a.m. Wednesday — A three-car accident occurred at the intersection of New Castle Road at Moraine Pointe Plaza.Police said Monica McCabe, 51, of Butler caused a chain reaction when her vehicle rear ended the car in front of her, which then hit another vehicle.Sandra Crump, 65, of West Middlesex and Michael Lauer, 59, of Fryburg were the other drivers involved.McCabe was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.May 18 — Jonathan M. Christie, 28, of Butler was charged with DUI following a one-vehicle accident along Delwood Road.
2:11 p.m. Friday — A three-car crash occurred in a construction zone along Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township.Police said Rodolfo R. Diaz, 52, of Miami was unable to stop for traffic and struck the back of a car driven by David H. Barron, 58, of Grove City.The impact caused Barron's car to hit the back of a car driven by Timothy Kepp, 74, of Wellsboro, Pa.Both Barron and a passenger, Elizabeth P. Barron, 58, of Grove City, had minor injuries and were taken to UPMC Northwest in Cranberry Township.Diaz was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
