11:27 a.m. Wednesday — David R. Daniele, 26, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly assaulted 22-year-old Destiny C. Lindsay of Franklin Township during a suspected domestic dispute in the 200 block of Zeigler Avenue.The altercation left Lindsay with a cut chin that needed stitches at Butler Memorial Hospital.Police were initially called for a reported fight involving a man and two women. Daniele was later arraigned on a charge of simple assault and placed in Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail.Debra S. Chuhra, 49, of Butler, a neighbor of Daniele's, was cited for disorderly conduct stemming from the altercation.Lindsay also was charged after officers searched her purse and found three pills of the prescription anti-anxiety medication clonazepam. She faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

9:28 p.m. May 17 — Jennifer Lacina, 40, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she backed into several motorcycles parked on Bessemer Avenue.

Wednesday — A vandal used an unknown object to damage a large front window at Bob's Hot Dog Shop on South Broad Street. The vandalism happened between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police have no suspects.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.Tuesday — A red, gas-powered weed eater valued at $100 was stolen from a shed in the 300 block of Elm Street. The theft happened Monday or Tuesday.

Wednesday — A wallet was stolen from a 23-year-old woman's purse that was in a car on Charlemagne Drive in Jefferson Township. The theft happened between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday.

12:46 p.m. Monday — A 19-year-old Butler woman, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 28 north of exit 14 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County.

Tuesday — Amber M. Perrine, 30, of Slippery Rock was arrested after allegedly shoplifting merchandise from the Walmart store in Pine Township, Mercer County. A repeat shoplifter, Perrine is charged with felony retail theft. She is free on $25,000 unsecured bail.Sunday — A thief stole two kayaks and three life vests from the back yard of a home on Latonka Drive in Jackson Township, Mercer County. The stolen property, valued at $890, was taken between 4 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.
