7 a.m. Sunday — Three people, two of them teenagers, were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck on New Castle Road. Police said the crash happened when Jacob Pollock, 28, of Slippery Rock fell asleep at the wheel and hit a utility pole.Pollock's car spun back onto the road and collided with another car driven by Maggie Dellen, 20, of Butler.Pollock and two of his passengers, 17-year-old Casie Vilk of Portersville and 18-year-old Salina Howes of Lyndora, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Pollock and Howes were later transferred to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.Howes was listed Monday in stable condition. Pollock and Vilk were treated and released.Police said a West Penn Power crew had to replace the utility pole. Butler Township Fire District 3 volunteer firefighters assisted police.Police cited Pollock for careless driving and a seat belt violation.1:13 a.m. Sunday — Edward Schoentag III, 31, of West Sunbury was hurt when the vehicle he was driving struck a deer on Route 422. Schoentag was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.2:19 p.m. Friday — Pauline Otterson, 77, and Daniel Caltrider, 32, both of Butler, were hurt when vehicles they were driving collided at Whitestown and South Eberhart roads. Both drivers were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Otterson complained of right shoulder pain and Caltrider of head and neck pain.Police cited Otterson with making an improper left turn.4:40 p.m. Thursday — Vehicles driven by Elizabeth Francis, 21, of Chicora and Michael Odasso, 53, of Leechburg, Armstrong County, collided on Route 422 just east of the Lyndora exit.Police blamed an unidentified blue pickup truck for causing the crash by merging from the ramp and into the path of Francis' car. The car struck Odasso's vehicle, which in turn hit the cement barrier twice before stopping on the side of the road.Another motorist followed the pickup but was unable to get the license plate number. The pickup was last seen leaving Route 422 via the East Jefferson Street exit.10:38 a.m. Wednesday — Micah Hartman, 34, of Butler is accused of taking about $80 from the cash register at the front office at the Days Inn on Route 8 south. A surveillance camera caught the suspect red handed, according to a police report.Hartman is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

4 p.m. Saturday — A black and white Arbor Axis skateboard valued at $200 was taken from the McDonald's restaurant parking lot on West Main Street. On the underside of the skateboard is a picture of coy fish coming out of a spigot.Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.

8:30 a.m. Monday — Nicole R. Jackowski, 35, of Evans City was hurt when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle and collided with a pickup truck at Route 422 and Unionville Road in Franklin Township. Jackowski, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.John M. McFarland, 27, of Saxonburg was driving the pickup. Police said Jackowski was cited for failing to yield to other traffic. Prospect volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene.Friday — Mark Alan Miles, 51, of Evans City was arraigned on charges he lied Feb. 20 when he applied for a duplicate title for a commercial flat-bed trailer at Cranberry Messenger Service in Cranberry Township. Police said he claimed his original title was lost or stolen when he knew it wasn't.Miles, who is charged with false swearing, is free on his own recognizance.2:29 a.m. Thursday — Amber J. Riesmeyer, 24, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Pepperland Boulevard in Butler.

10:22 a.m. Monday — A Rimersburg couple and two children were hurt when a car rear-ended the minivan they were riding in on Route 68 in Monroe Township.Treated at Clarion Hospital for minor injuries were 28-year-old Mitzy S. Ealy, 4-year-old Alicia L. Ealy and 8-year-old Nicole M. Lasher, all passengers in the van. Andrew W. Ealy, 34, another passenger in the van, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.Dustin C. Sams, 28, of Sligo, who was driving the car, and Joseph J. Cozin, 66, also of Sligo, the driver of the minivan, were not injured. All occupants in the vehicles were wearing seat belts.Police said Sams was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.Monday — A 48-year-old Rimersburg woman, who police did not identify, allegedly stole $100 from another woman's wallet on Main Street in Rimersburg. The theft happened between 2 a.m. and 3 p.m.

4 p.m. Sunday — A Lincoln Town Car was found on fire in woods just west of Olean Road in Madison Township, Armstrong County. The Templeton Volunteer Fire Department was called to put out the blaze. Police said the investigation continues.12:37 a.m. Sunday — A 38-year-old Kittanning man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Manor Township.Sunday — An unknown burglar stole unspecified property after breaking into a home in the 100 block of Allegheny Avenue in Pine Township, Armstrong County. The break-in happened between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.Sunday — An unknown vandal drove an all-terrain vehicle through a field on Phillips Street in Bradys Bend Township. Police said the vehicle damaged the ground being used to grow hay.The vandalism happened between 4 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. The investigation continues.7:43 p.m. Wednesday — A 38-year-old Worthington woman, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 422 just past the Graff Bridge in Manor Township.Wednesday — An unknown thief stole a license plate from a 25-year-old Worthington woman's motorcycle at a home on Fox Road in West Franklin Township. The plate was taken between 5 and 8 p.m.
