CHICORA — Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North Oakland, 864 Chicora Road, will hold a strawberry and sundae festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8.

Other food at the festival will include meatball hoagies, hot dogs and a salad bar.

Participants will build ice cream sundaes for dessert, and whole strawberry pies will be available for purchase.

SARVER — Patricia Knoechel, formerly of Zelienople, will present mystery quilts from Quilt in a Day from 6:30 to 9 p.m. June 9 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Heide Hall, 409 Sarver Road.The evening will include a trunk show and shopping.Pieceful Patchers Quilt Guild will host the event. SUMMIT TWP — Residents will have the opportunity to have a health screening to reduce their risk of having a stroke or bone fracture.The event June 28 at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road, will be a Life Line Screening.The screenings help identify potential heart conditions such as blocked arteries and irregular heart rhythm, abdominal aortic aneurysms and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predictor of heart disease.A bone density screening to assess osteoporosis risk also will be offered to both men and women.All five screenings take 60 to 90 minutes to complete.
