Master Sgt. Timothy Dlutowski, formerly of Butler, was recognized for his years coordinating blood drives for the 187th Ordnance Battalion at Ft. Jackson, S.C.
Since 2003, more than 2,000 soldiers have donated blood at the battalion, making Dlutowski “the most successful blood drive coordinator the (Armed Services Blood Program) has ever had at Fort Jackson,” according to a program press release.
Raised in Butler, Dlutowski graduated from Butler High School. He is the son of Ginger Dlutowski of Butler.
He has served 24 years in the Army and is now deployed to Korea for two years.
The 187th Ordnance Battalion trains mechanics to maintain the Army’s fleets.
