Alice Roberta Miller

Alice Roberta Miller, 96, of Butler passed away Sunday at Newhaven Court.

She was born on Nov. 18, 1917, in Butler County, the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret (Shields) Miller.

Alice was a member of the Middlesex Presbyterian Church and the Coachmen Association.

She enjoyed making quilts, embroidering, cooking, camping, fishing and gardening.

Surviving are her son, James A. (Ruth) Miller of Tucson, Ariz.; her daughter, Judith Heathcote and Ed Fee of Butler; her eight grandchildren; her 16 great-grandchildren; her seven great-great-grandchildren, and her brother, Arthur Miller of Harmony.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Miller, who passed away on April 15, 2005; her daughter, Hazel Miller; her great-great-grandson and granddaughter; her three sisters, and her one brother.

Miller— The friends of Alice Roberta Miller, who passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with her pastor, the Rev. Kevin Bowen, officiating.
