Warriors shine on diamond

Kennedy DeMatteis fanned 13 batters to help Moniteau’s softball team beat Keystone 6-1 Wednesday night to clinch the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference South Division title.

The win also gave the Warriors (18-0, 7-0) a new school record for wins in a season. Moniteau’s original record was 17 wins from 2011.

Sara Hull drove in two runs for the Warriors. Gabby Stewart also singled twice and drove in a run, while Bailey Hoffman and Cortney Claypoole connected for doubles.
