1:46 p.m. Monday — Aubree R. Rogers, 25, of Butler Township was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop on West Cunningham Street.Rogers was a passenger in the car that was stopped for having illegally tinted windows. She initially gave police a bogus name. Officers later learned she was wanted by Middlesex Township police on an arrest warrant for felony theft.The driver, Travis N. Fencil, 20, of Summit Township, meanwhile, also ended up being criminally charged when he got out of the car and a suspected crack pipe fell onto the street, according to a police report.A search of the car also turned up a syringe in the center console.Fencil is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was cited for driving a vehicle with improper sunscreen window tinting.Rogers was charged with providing false identification to law enforcement authorities. She was arraigned on that charge as well as charges of theft, receiving stolen property and illegal gun possession, all felonies, in the Middlesex case.She is being held in the Butler County Prison on $7,500 bail.
Tuesday — Police charged two people stemming from a suspected drug overdose last week at the Super 8 motel on Route 8 south.Officers were called about 11:15 p.m. Friday to a room at the motel where Carly J. Jandla, 39, of Pittsburgh overdosed, according to a police report.But police suspect Eric E. Angerett, 35, of Butler hid Jandla's drug contraband before they got there.Angerett is charged with tampering with evidence and hindering apprehension or prosecution. Jandla is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Monday — An unknown thief stole a Next brand mountain bike from an apartment complex on Gilmore Avenue. The bike is valued at about $200.Monday — Unspecified property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of Miller Avenue. The theft happened between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday.Friday — An unknown burglar stole an undisclosed amount of currency after breaking into Four Star Pizza on South Broad Street. The break-in happened Thursday or Friday.4:43 a.m. May 4 — Malachi Graham, 18, of Grove City was arrested after police got a call of a suspicious person attempting to break into a vehicle in the 200 block of North Center Street.Officers later nabbed Graham, who is suspected of stealing items from several vehicles on Jackson Street and North Center Street on May 4.He was arraigned on charges of theft from a vehicle and receiving stolen property, and he was placed in the Mercer County Jail on $5,000 bail.Meanwhile, police advise anyone missing items from their vehicles to call the station at 724-458-7925.April 26 — A woman reported someone stole prescription medication from her home in the 200 block of Jackson Street.3 p.m. April 16 — Jesse Hodge, 17, of Grove City was hurt when a car struck him in the Grove City High School parking lot. Hodge suffered a minor injury to his foot and ankle, a police report said.The driver, Nathan W. Meier, 18, of Mercer, was cited for careless driving as well as driving without insurance and without a valid inspection sticker.
8:02 p.m. Saturday — Zachory M. Williamson, 20, of Parker is facing charges of driving under the influence, drug possession and numerous traffic violations after police found suspected crystal methamphetamine and psychedelic mushrooms in his car following a traffic stop in Slippery Rock Township.Williamson was stopped on Route 8 at Ralston Road for an inspection sticker violation. Later, police learned the vehicle was not properly registered, uninsured and had a registration plate from another vehicle.Troopers searched his vehicle and said they found one-tenth of a gram of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 1.6 grams of suspected magic mushrooms and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.A police report said charges are pending lab results.10:30 p.m. May 2 — Sharon Vesnesky, 63, reported someone broke into her HyVue Lane home in Summit Township and stole money.Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 724-284-8100
8:30 p.m. Tuesday — Chester Emery Croyle Jr., 43, of Adrian was arrested after a 10-hour standoff with police at a home on Old Reesedale Road in Washington Township, Armstrong County.Croyle's surrender came after the police Special Emergency Response Team fired tear gas into the trailer home. No one was injured.According to a police report, Croyle was wanted on charges he raped a child. Additionally, he was wanted on a bench warrant for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order and a separate mental health warrant.Croyle is being held in the Armstrong County Jail.
9:35 a.m. May 5 — Nancy B. Barber, 59, of Grove City and Miranda J. Snow, 19, of Mercer both suffered minor injuries when cars they were driving collided on Route 208 in front of Seiver's Market in Springfield Township.Barber was taken to Grove City Medical Center. Snow was treated at the scene. Both women were wearing seat belts. Police cited Barber for making an improper left turn.
