Robert J. Jageman
Robert J. Jageman, 89, of Kittanning passed away Tuesday at the Kittanning Care Center.
He was born on Aug. 5, 1924, in Ford City, the son of the late Leo and Grace Jageman.
Robert was a lifetime resident of the area. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a plant operator for Carpentertown Mine and Coke Works until his retirement in 1985.
He was a member of the St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
In his spare time, Robert enjoyed searching for special antiques, hunting and spending time outdoors.
He will be deeply missed by his sons, Robert L. Jageman of Edwardsville and David Jageman and his wife, Vicki, of Fenelton; his grandchildren, Erik Jageman and his wife, Erica, of Freeport and Jacalyn Jageman of Kittanning; and his great-grandchildren, Hayle and Katelyn Jageman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Joan K. “Jenny” Jageman, who he married on Jan. 10, 1950, and who died on May 10, 2007; his brother, Jim Jageman; and his sister, Joan Brown.
Jageman— The friends of Robert J. Jageman, who passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning.Additional visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of a funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Douglas E. Dorula as celebrant.
