Margaret L. 'Marg' McGinnis
Margaret L. “Marg” McGinnis, 89, of Grove City passed away at 9:22 a.m. Wednesday at the Grove City Medical Center.
She was born on Dec. 29, 1924, in Falls Creek, Pa., to the late Warren P. and M. Eva Rideout McLaughlin.
She married Wayne E. McGinnis on June 8, 1946. Wayne passed away on Oct. 11, 1997.
Marg was employed at the Grove City School District where she retired as secretary to the principal at the high school. She was employed by the district for more than 20 years.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Grove City.
Marg enjoyed sports, flowers and gardening. She was an avid reader.
Her survivors include her daughter, Dawn L. Say of Butler; her two grandchildren, Jennifer Walters and her husband, George, of Slippery Rock and Matthew Say of Butler; and her four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Eleanor Feichtinger; and her two brothers, John Kenneth and Milford “Buck” McLaughlin.
McGinnis— The funeral service for Margaret L. “Marg” McGinnis, who passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014, will be at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Avenue, Grove City, at 10:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Willard Morse, visiting pastor from the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.
