2:29 a.m. Saturday — Ricky Lee Waldrop, 46, was arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, 49-year-old Michele C. Perry, at their apartment in the 300 block of East Pearl Street.Waldrop is charged with simple assault. He is free on $3,000 bail.

7:42 p.m. Monday — Jonathan Lee Buchanan, 28, of New Castle was caught allegedly shoplifting $199 worth of merchandise from the Walmart in Butler Commons. He is charged with retail theft.Monday — Police charged Fredrick H. Killmeyer, 53, of Chicora with drunken and drugged driving stemming from a March 26 one-vehicle crash on East Jefferson Street.In addition to driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance, Killmeyer is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and disregarding traffic lanes.10:42 p.m. Thursday — Stevona Morgan, 20, of Butler was stopped on New Castle Road for driving a sport utility vehicle without working taillights.Police said Morgan faces numerous traffic tickets including a lighting violation, driving without a license, driving without insurance and license plate and inspection violations.

3:42 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Kyle Sherry, 23, of Seven Fields rear-ended another pickup stopped for traffic on South Center Street. Dennis Snyder, 56, of Grove City was the other driver.

Monday — An unknown thief stole a citizens band radio from a vehicle on Rieber Road in Connoquenessing Township. The theft happened between Thursday and Monday.

3:13 p.m. Tuesday — Deanne E. Gillen, 18, of Emlenton was hurt when she lost control of her car, hit a guardrail and rolled down an embankment on Route 208 in Beaver Township, Clarion County. Gillen, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
